You have many, many choices to make in the next few weeks and months. One of the first and most important is how you will choose to react to and approach this time in your life. Understanding the power you have to make choices, and the importance of the choices you do make, is a basic building block for success.
Your choice about how you think about this period of time in your life will significantly impact each outcome. If you believe you will be successful, you will be. If you don't, you won't. And if you want to enjoy and take meaning from this period of your life, you will. If you don't, you won't. It's your choice.
This concept of choices is common sense that we all intuitively know. But very few of us fully appreciate it, and even fewer ever effectively practice it. And it's not a new concept -- self-fulfilling prophecies, the power of positive thinking -- are well-established perspectives.
It is important to understand how emotions impact choices.
