Gene Link is a Senior Consultant with BPI group, North America. He is certified as a Fellow Practitioner by the Institute of Career Certification International.
He joined the company in 1999, bringing more than 25 years of diversified experience in sales management, operations, finance and human resources to provide his clients with a clear competitive advantage in the marketplace.
In his current role, Mr. Link is part of both the firm’s Talent Management and Career Transition practice areas, which focus on executive coaching, leadership development and career changes. He delivers a broad range of services, including executive coaching, career development and job transition consulting.
Prior to joining BPI group, Mr. Link worked as a corporate director at Hartmarx Corporation, where he was responsible for employee relations, executive recruitment and placement, and management development and training. He also held assignments as a Vice President of HR for two different divisions and as Vice President and National Sales Manager. At R.H. Macy Company, he was Director of Organization Planning, Director of Wage Administration and Director of Training, along with various operations and finance positions.
Some key career accomplishments include organizing and leading the “Hartmarx Institute,” an annual week-long leadership development/assessment seminar for senior-level executives; managing company-wide succession planning initiatives; developing “Premiership,” a corporate excellence program for 21,000 employees; and leading a 15-person sales force with 700 accounts nationwide. At SSP-BPI Group, he has successfully coached hundreds of individuals in a wide range of employee development areas.
Mr. Link holds a B.A. in economics from St. Anselm’s College in Manchester, N.H. He is certified in the Leadership Effective Analysis and related products.
